School Time! I woke up at 5:00 am for no exact reason because school didn’t start until 9:00 am. I looked at my check list and it said…
· Get dressed
· Brush teeth
· Brush hair
· Make bed
· Clean up clothes
· Get shoes on
· Eat Breakfast
· GO!!!
So I put my favorite outfit on which was my jeans and my purple polka-dot shirt. I felt like the prettiest girl in town. My mom yelled, “come on Sophie, school is going to start…it’s exactly 8:59. I said to myself, “wow that took me a while”.
I ran downstairs then outside so fast I bet some people thought my house was going to blow up. When I was running I saw something coming from my mom’s pumpkin patch she planted last summer. I turned around and saw the biggest pumpkin in the world and it was glowing, not any glowing, it was magical glowing! I walked over to see if I was dreaming.
But the next thing I knew I was falling into the pumpkin because my sister had tripped me by putting her foot in front of me, and she even admitted it with her sinister laugh. I crashed my head on the pumpkin and turned around to cry in my mom’s lap, but she wasn’t there!
I looked around to try to find her and while I was looking, I noticed I wasn’t in Massachusetts anymore. I was in Candy Land. I started to walk around, a little bit frazzled by then, but soon I got used to it and ate all the candy I could. Candy Land was the most beautiful place in the world! It had lollipop trees, chocolate rivers, a caramel ocean, and gummie trees which were blueberry and strawberry flavored.
I was admiring all the beauty when I ran into the meanest of the mean, the Licorice Man. I remembered he was mean from the Candy Land board game. In the game you never want to land on him because you’ll lose a turn. He said, “Get off my land!” and then took out his licorice whip and hit me with it.
I started crying and ran away. I really wanted to see my mom now. I was running and crying at the same time.
While I was running I heard this voice and it said “Oh honey, don’t cry.” I looked around but I saw no one. The little voice said “I’m up here.” I looked up and saw a little lady holding a wand. I screamed and said “don’t whack me with your wand!” She said “Oh I bet you ran into Licorice Man.” I said “yes I did and he whacked me with his licorice.” I asked her “What are you doing here?” She said “I’m here to make our wishes come … true.”
Hmmm what should I wish for I wondered? I know, how about all the candy in the world. Or maybe just chocolate since that is my favorite. Or Money, money would be good. But the most important thing is I want to go …
I woke up and found myself back in my room in my bed at 5:00 in the morning. I was looking at the check list and started doing my morning chores. Then I heard my Mom call “Sophie, come eat breakfast!” I ran downstairs not even caring about what my mom said just the fact that I heard her made me feel better. I gave her a huge hug and millions of kisses, probably as many as any mother could ever ask for.
She said “Sweetie are you all right, you never do that to me?” I said “yah, I’m all right mom, I just had a really weird day.” “Can you tell me about it?” mom asked. I told her all about it and she said “Well I’m here now.” I thought to myself, yes, my wish came true!
I like your story and I think that it is very interesting! But, I have some suggestions and questions;
ReplyDelete#1 Is there a spacific reason that you woke up at 5:00 in the morning?
#2 Why did your sister do that to you?
#3 Why did the licorice man have a whip?
#4 Who was the little lady holding the wand?
