Football

I don't get football
it is very boring to me
but to every boy
it's all they can see
all I can see is
a bunch of sweaty guys tackling each other
and
throwing a ball
while everyone screams and shouts
I'M COVERING MY EARS!!!!

Success!

Orange

Orange is a heavy pumpkin
A writing note
A crunchy carrot
A tall block
An active cat
A crumply bag
A broken box
A full cup of orange juice
Orange makes me think of an orange.

Blue

Blue is the bright sky
Shiny blue eyes
and
the wavy ocean
blue has a lot of colors
but when it comes to the flu
YOU GET BLUE!!!!!!!!
Its True

misses you!

Miss.Lisses really misses you.
She just wants to give you kisses
Miss.Lisses really misses you!

Ski-ish

When I was six I tried and tried,

And at first it wasn't a very smooth ride

As I watch the other skiers rush down the hill

It looked so easy at the start

But its easier to push a 100 pound shopping cart.

Green Grass

Smells of summer go up my nose,
I will never forget them.
I shimmer in the sunlight,
While it rains I put my shield of perfection
on.
I sway with confidence.

Moonlit Path

Silence...the aroma of lavender surrounds the air,
Blue jays race across the sky,
Flowers sway back and forth while the fog hides my face,
The moon shines upon the little puddle from last nights
storm.

Swim

Water.
The dive.
Swim.

The cool wholeness
Of being
A being of water
A water sprite
The nothing sound
Of the Under Wave

The rich smell of chlorine
The dry taste
Of pool water on
Your tongue

Momentary nothing
Know-nothing
Hear-nothing
Be-nothing
Underwater
Under Wave

Sounds
You are
Coming to life out of unearthly
Silence
Another world
Under Wave

Almost there
One more lap
Back you are
To Under Wave

Water.
The dive.
Swim.

blueness fills the sea .shells are burried .Then found crabs scatter across the shore. What could they want more?To fish, and all the sea. The ocean is a beauty but if they want no price the ocean is a paradise. It is warm and nice what a great paradise!

Bubble-Ish

When I was six,I wrapped a piece of bubble gum
around my tounge, i blew and blew but it never popped.

My mom said "Put the gum on your tounge and
and blow lightly through your lips."

I tried but the gum kept on shrinking
I guess you could call me bubble-ish.

Swim-Ish

By Alice Grimes

When I first started swimming,

I went with my dad,

He dropped me in the water,

It was pretty bad,

I was sinking like a rock,

I was startled and so I went into shock,

I was thinking I’m gona die today!

But then my dad went fishin, in the baby pool,

He pulled me out,

My life was saved, but next time, I’d wear a bubble.

Green

Green is soft grass
Growing plants
Country pickles
Bumpy tree leaves
Land on a map
Spring grows
Marker wrights
A bin holds
Green things rock!

Lacrosse-ish

About a year ago, I tried but my efforts wouldn't pay off
I practied but I still could not do it
I couldn't pass Icouldn't catch I couldn't shoot Icouldn't throw
My tries were in vain
It was as challenging as dressing a pig in a tutu
You might call me playing lacrosse ish

Snap-Ish

When I was four, I rubbed my fingers back and forth
but a sound never came out.

I yelled for help and my dad said "Put your fingers together and
slide them with pressure," It was as challenging as finding a needle
in a haystack.

I tried, and tried, and tried but I only could snap-ish.
Draw-ish

When I was 5
I tried and tried to draw a perfect dog
I erased and erased then I looked at my drawing
I realized it looked like a dog-ish!
So I went around the house looking for more opinions
I asked my mom, dad, sisters even asked my dog!
They all said it looked dog- ish!

Fa-lap-ish

I kicked and kicked,

and thought and thought,
but nothing seemed to work,
I asked for help , but still no luck.
I really thought I looked like muck!
The teacher said, hey let me help you learn.
After that, my feet really started to burn.
I guess I am fa-lap-ish.

Skateboard-ish

Skateboard-ish
When I was six I tried skateboarding I did every thing I could I just
did not know what to do I tried to move again and again and then I slowly
started to skateboard-ish!

Split-Ish

For all my life I've tried
To get my legs apart
On the ground
A perfect line
I've tried and tried a lot
I can not flex
My legs won't do it
I'm a mess
But my heart sticks to it
I'm halfway there
I'll say that's fair
So I guess you can call me Split-Ish

Piano-ish

When I was 8 I played and played
but, it never came out right
I practiced and practiced
notes and notes every single night
but, after I tried 4,000 times,
I siad, "It's sort of piano-ish!"
